Role Description
The Early Childhood Educator is a full-time, on-site role based in Derby, responsible for supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children in an early years setting. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
- Observing and documenting children’s progress
- Creating a stimulating, inclusive classroom environment
- Promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures
- Assisting with routines such as meals, rest times, and outdoor play
- Communicating regularly with parents and carers
- Collaborating with colleagues
- Maintaining accurate records to meet regulatory and organizational standards

Qualifications
- Skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Development to design and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Creativity Skills to plan engaging, play-based activities that encourage exploration
- Relevant early years or childcare qualification Level 2 or 3
- Understanding of safeguarding practices, health and safety standards, and inclusive education is advantageous
- Clear background checks and eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
