Nursery Assistant
๐ Location: L32 Area, Liverpool
๐ Start Date: September
๐ Contract: Until July 2027 (operation leave cover, with potential to extend)
โฐ Hours: Part-time, 3 Days per Week (8:30amโ3:30pm)
Role Overview
Milk Education is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming, two-form entry primary school in the L32 area of Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children's early learning and development within a nurturing and stimulating nursery environment.
Working alongside an experienced Early Years team, you will help create engaging learning experiences that encourage children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically through play-based learning.
Classroom & School Support
- Two-form entry primary school within the local community
- Experienced Nursery practitioners and Teaching Assistants working alongside you
- Additional SEN support where required
- Supportive and collaborative Early Years and senior leadership team

Key Responsibilities
- Support children with their learning through play and structured activities
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive nursery environment
- Encourage children's communication, language, social, and emotional development
- Support children with personal care where required
- Assist with observations and contribute to children's learning and development records
- Support children with SEN and additional needs where appropriate
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, the SENCO, and senior leadership
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with young children in a nursery, school, or childcare setting
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- A passion for supporting children's early development
- Knowledge of the EYFS Framework is desirable
- Experience supporting children with SEN is beneficial but not essential
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
