About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a committed, highly motivated and experienced Early Help Prevention Officer and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our safeguarding and inclusion team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting vulnerable children, young people and families to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will play a key role in leading Early Help Assessments, coordinating support for vulnerable students and families, and ensuring safeguarding concerns are identified and responded to effectively. You will contribute to a strong culture of safeguarding across the school and work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to promote the welfare, safety and wellbeing of our students.

Requirements

  • A qualification in a related area, education, social care, family support or significant experience in this area and a willingness to undertake further training is essential
  • Demonstrate experience of leading and completing early help assessments
  • Experience of working in a multi-agency environment
  • Knowledge of the Wolverhampton Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

Contract Details

  • Fixed Term role for 12 months.
  • Contracted Hours: 37 hours per week, 46.5 weeks per annum (Term Time + 10 days)
  • Start Date: 1st December 2026
  • End Date: 30th November 2027
  • Closing Date for Advert: Monday 12th October 2026 at 9am
