About Quid

Quid is an early-stage fintech app built around the financial experience of international students in the UK. We’ve already built the core app and are now preparing for the next stage of the product. As we move towards launch, we’re looking for a small number of people who can bring real skills, experience and ideas to the team. This is not simply about completing assigned tasks. We want people who can look at what we’re building, identify opportunities, propose ideas and help us make them happen.

You can learn more about Quid here: https://quidapp.co.uk/

Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in people with hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

Software & App Development

  • Mobile or web development
  • Frontend or backend development
  • APIs and databases
  • Testing, debugging and improving existing applications

AI / Machine Learning

  • LLM applications
  • RAG systems
  • AI integrations
  • NLP or recommendation/personalisation systems
  • Building AI features beyond basic API calls

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

You do not need years of professional experience, but you should have previous hands-on experience in the area you want to contribute to. That experience can come from internships, university projects, freelance work, previous roles, hackathons, personal projects, startups, or something you have built independently. More importantly, please know what you're talking about. We are looking for people who understand the area they want to work in and can demonstrate that through previous work.

We value people who:

  • Can contribute independently
  • Bring their own ideas rather than waiting for instructions
  • Can explain the reasoning behind their decisions
  • Are comfortable working in a small, early-stage team
  • Are willing to challenge existing ideas when they see a better solution
  • Can turn ideas into something tangible

What You'll Get

Because Quid is still a small project, you won't be joining a huge team where your work disappears into the background. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of what you work on, contribute directly to product decisions, experiment with ideas, and potentially see your work become part of the product we launch. This could be particularly valuable for students and early-career builders looking for genuine startup and product-building experience.

Interested?

Send us:

  • A short introduction about yourself
  • The area you'd like to contribute to
  • What you think you could bring to Quid
  • Examples of relevant previous work, projects or experience
  • Your LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio or other relevant links

Please take a look at our website before applying so you understand what Quid is and what we're trying to build.
