Summary

The Early Talent & Digital Learning Apprentice will provide administrative and coordination support across McLaren's early talent, apprenticeship, recruitment and digital learning activities. The role will support candidate administration, onboarding, programme records and routine learning-system tasks.

Wage: Competitive
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm. One day a week day release for your qualification. 40 hours a week
Start date: Thursday 19 November 2026
Duration: 1 year 6 months

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Early Talent and Recruitment

  • Support apprentice, placement and work experience recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate interviews, assessment activities and candidate communications.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers, learner records and programme documentation.
  • Support onboarding, inductions, careers events and engagement activities.

Apprenticeship Administration

  • Coordinate apprentice reviews and meetings with managers and training providers.
  • Monitor key dates, progress information and completion records.
  • Respond to routine enquiries and escalate more complex matters.

Digital Learning Support

  • Support learner accounts, course enrolments and learning assignments.
  • Upload and maintain approved digital learning content.
  • Provide first-line user support and escalate technical issues.
  • Assist with system audits, data-quality checks and routine reporting.

General Team Support

  • Prepare reports, presentations, communications and meeting documentation.
  • Support Competence & Development projects and other duties appropriate to the role.

What you'll learn

Course contents:

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.

Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.

Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work.

Training schedule

Apprentices will start learning towards the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship standard, this will be delivered either online or in person. This will typically be delivered on a one day a week basis.
