Summary
We are seeking to recruit a Nursery Apprentice to join Babraham Nursery. The successful candidate will study towards an Early Years Practitioner or Educator Apprenticeship (Level 2 or 3) and will gain valuable on-the-job experience whilst undertaking a variety of nursery assistant duties.
Wage: £16,224 a year

Training
Course: Early years practitioner (level 2)
Training Provider: CAMBRIDGE REGIONAL COLLEGE
Training Contents:
- Support babies and young children through transitions
- Recognise and report types of abuse
- Use prevention and control of infection techniques
- Encourage personal safety and hygiene practices
- Promote health and wellbeing
- Carry out respectful care routines
- Communicate effectively with children and parents
- Extend children’s development and learning
- Support early language, mark making, reading, and mathematical learning
- Implement educational programs and activities
- Observe, assess, plan, and record children’s progress
- Work co-operatively with colleagues and parents
- Encourage active parental involvement

Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- GCSE in English (grade 3 or D)
- GCSE in Maths (grade 3 or D)

Other Requirements:

- Willingness to work in all rooms with children up to 5 years of age
- Willingness to get messy and spend time outside with children in all weathers
- Attendance at monthly staff meetings and special events
