£330 per day umbrella

Summary:

This role is a 9-10 month contract with a local authority, offering a rate of £330 per day under an umbrella arrangement. The primary purpose is to enhance outcomes for children in Early Years settings by providing expert advice, challenge, coaching, and training to schools, nurseries, childcare providers, and other Early Years practitioners. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to elevate teaching, learning, leadership, and service delivery standards, ensuring adherence to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and fostering continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional advice, guidance, and challenge to Early Years settings to enhance educational outcomes and reduce attainment gaps.
  • Support practitioners and managers through coaching, mentoring, observation, and performance improvement activities.
  • Promote high-quality teaching, learning, curriculum planning, and assessment practices across Early Years settings.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of EYFS provision and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support settings with self-evaluation, action planning, and preparation for Ofsted inspections.
  • Identify training and development needs and deliver professional learning opportunities to Early Years practitioners and leaders.

Requirements:

Essential Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years' successful teaching experience, including experience within the Foundation Stage.
  • Experience of observing, evaluating, and supporting the work of colleagues.
  • Experience working with Early Years and pre-school education providers.
  • Experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring, or professional support to teachers and practitioners.

Essential Qualifications Required:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education, Early Years, Leadership, or a related subject.
