A welcoming and highly regarded primary school in Southwark is seeking an ambitious Early Years Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated Early Years team on a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with Nursery and Reception-aged children while supporting their learning, development, and school readiness.

The Role
As an Early Years Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality Early Years provision.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children within Nursery and Reception settings.
- Assisting with the delivery of engaging and creative learning activities.
- Supporting children's communication, language, literacy, and numeracy development.
- Encouraging positive social interaction and emotional development.
- Delivering one-to-one and small-group interventions where required.
- Supporting children with varying learning needs and abilities.
- Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Person Specification
The school is seeking a motivated and caring individual who is passionate about Early Years education.
Essential Requirements
- A First-Class Honours Degree or 2:1 Degree from a recognised university.
- Strong GCSE results (A*-C / Grade 4 and above).
- Good A-Level results.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
Highly Desirable
- Experience working within a Nursery, Reception, or other Early Years setting.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Experience supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities.
Alternative Qualifications Considered
The school is also keen to hear from candidates holding a CACHE Level 3 qualification who have relevant Early Years experience and are looking to continue developing their career within education.
