The Role
- Location: Grange Primary School (including nearby sites)
- Hours:
- Flexible split shifts (15 hrs core, plus 25-30hrs during half-term for holiday camps)
- Pay: £13.50 per hour
- Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children aged 0-5.
- Plan, lead, and deliver structured, age-appropriate activities including:
- Storytelling
- Creative arts & crafts
- Sensory play
- Group games
- Outdoor adventures
- Support children’s development and wellbeing through engaging, playful experiences.
- Maintain exemplary safeguarding standards—follow all Health & Safety policies strictly.
- Provide healthy snacks, assist with toileting/hygiene routines, and ensure every child feels safe, cared for, and included.
- Set up and maintain play spaces, adapting them for different activities and learning needs.
- Keep accurate records (incident reports, observations, registers, etc.).
- Build trusting relationships with parents, schools, and colleagues.
- Promote early years best practice to nurture a love of learning through play.

Requirements
- Level 3 Qualification in Early Years – Essential.
- Ability to lead with confidence, creativity, and boundless energy.
- Team player committed to fostering joyful, safe, and inclusive learning.
Safeguarding & Compliance
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You must comply with:
- Keeping Children Safe in Education policies.
- Provide two written references—one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting (if applicable).
- A full Enhanced DBS Check will be required prior to starting.
