About the Role
Early Years Nursery provides a happy, caring, and stimulating environment for the children within their care. They aim to provide an environment where the parents feel totally satisfied and confident with the care offered to their child. They are looking for a Level 3 apprentice to join them on a part-time basis, term time only.
Wage: £8,320 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Hours: Monday - Friday hours to be determined. 20 hours a week
Start date: Monday 10 August 2026

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
As a level 3 apprentice you will be a key member of the nursery team, your daily activities may include:
- Planning and implementing fun and educational activities with the children
- Play alongside and with children to support their play
- Supporting children’s creative and imaginative experiences
- Maintaining development records on key children
- Supervising children at rest times and at mealtimes
- Contributing to and promoting health and safety
- Ensuring the play area is clean and tidy at all times
- Working closely with parents and providing feedback on their child

What you'll learn
Course contents
Recognise when a child or a colleague is in danger or at risk of abuse and act to protect them in line with safeguarding policy and procedure.
Apply legislation, policy and procedure to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of children in the setting (for example, food safety, diets, starting solid food, allergies, COSHH, and accidents, injuries, and emergencies).
Apply the principles of risk assessment and risk management within documentation and practice.
Teach children to develop skills to manage risk and maintain their own and others safety.
Use a range of communication methods, including technology, with other professionals to meet the individual needs of the child.

Training schedule
Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- On the job training
Desirable qualifications
- GCSE in:
- Maths (grade 4-9)
- English (grade 4-9)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
