Early Years Practitioner – St Anthony’s School for Boys (Term-Time Only, Starting January 2027)

About the Role

St Anthony’s School for Boys consists of a co-ed nursery for children aged 2–4, alongside Reception to Year 8 (boys only). The nursery, opened in September 2023, has quickly gained popularity, with over fifty pupils currently enrolled. Plans to expand by a further twenty places will require renovations and extensions to classroom space.

This role is part of an enthusiastic, dedicated Early Years Practitioner team joining our fully invested and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and excel in practical implementation.

The position is term-time only, with a start date of January 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a highly motivated role model of early years excellence, adhering to best practices outlined in the Early Years Inspection Handbook.
  • Stay current with early years initiatives and legislation, ensuring practice remains aligned with best practice.
  • Set consistently high expectations for child development and academic achievement.
  • Demonstrate a secure understanding of child development for the age group, with detailed subject knowledge relayed to children.
  • Gather and document developmental assessments, sharing insights with parents, carers, or relevant professionals.
  • Use assessment data to design tailored teaching strategies—identifying gifted children, those needing support, or those falling behind.
  • Nurture strong parent relationships by explaining progressive developmental expectations and fostering their involvement.
  • Act as a reflective practitioner, refining teaching methods through evaluative tools and self-monitoring.
  • Provide supportive, informative reports on children’s developmental progress using Early Years Outcomes documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
