# Early Years Practitioner – Nursery (Blackheath)

📍 Location & Role Overview

📍 Blackheath, London 💼 Salary: £28,274 – £35,214 per annum (based on experience & qualifications) 🏫 Setting: Bright Horizons Blackheath Day Nursery and Preschool (‘Good’ Ofsted rating, 74 places) 🌿 Facilities: Spacious indoor rooms with outstanding activities + outdoor garden space with age-appropriate play equipment.

🎯 The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll:

  • Plan, create, and implement tailored, engaging activities to support children’s developmental milestones
  • Foster a safe, creative environment that encourages self-expression, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning
  • Work closely with parents/guardians and colleagues to nurture each child’s unique potential

Between Bright Horizons’ outstanding nursery spaces—indoor or outside—deliver engaging, age-appropriate experiences that grow with children.

💼 Responsibilities

  • Design and adapt engaging, learning-focused activities rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Maintain a caring, communicative approach with parents/guardians and colleagues
  • Understand and model safeguarding best practices, adhering strictly to Ofsted and safeguarding regulations
  • Reflect on children’s progress and adjust resources/materials accordingly

📌 Requirements

  • A relevant Level 2+ Early Years qualification (raw job promotions before `):
  • Profound passion for creating inclusive, stimulating environments
  • Thorough knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding & child protection policies
  • Ability to build trust, collaborating with parents/colleagues authentically

⚠️ Pre-employment checks are mandatory for all roles—this includes an Enhanced DBS check before any appointment can be confirmed.
