Location: Loughton, Essex Salary: Starting from £13.70/hr (Level 2), £14.24/hr (Level 3) (full-time equivalent, based on qualifications and experience)


About the Role

Our Bright Horizons Teddies Loughton Day Nursery and Preschool is looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team and make a real difference to children’s lives.

Nestled on the grounds of Debden Park High School (rated "Good" by Ofsted), our nursery is just under a mile from Debden station and Loughton town centre, offering a welcoming environment for young learners.

What You’ll Do

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and reflect on engaging, child-led activities to support children’s holistic development (social, emotional, cognitive, and physical)
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel free to explore, learn, and thrive
  • Develop strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure seamless, child-focused care
  • Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Foster a lifelong love of learning through inclusive, fun, and age-appropriate experiences

Requirements & Qualifications

We’re seeking a motivated individual with:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification
  • A genuine passion for working with young children in a fun, inclusive, and educational setting
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS and how to apply its principles daily
  • Excellent safeguarding awareness and knowledge of child protection policies
  • The ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • A team player mindset, committed to our HEART values (Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, Teamwork)
