Job Opportunity at Wollaton House Day Nursery
This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a passion for developing a career in childcare to work within a friendly and supportive nursery. The nursery will provide full support to enable the successful candidate to achieve completion of the Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship. Candidates who wish to be considered for L3 are welcome to apply as well.
About the Role
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What You'll Do at Work
- Welcoming parents, children, and visitors.
- Caring for all children in the nursery.
- Setting up activities and supporting children’s involvement in activities.
- Assisting children at meal and snack times.
- Supporting children at nap times.
- Following all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding the setting and health & safety of the children’s environment.
- Some cleaning duties of the nursery and equipment will also be involved.

Training and Development
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
- Apprentices will be allocated a Trainer Assessor, and training will be planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet the individual needs of the apprentice.
- The apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours in off-the-job activities and training.
- On-the-job and off-the-job training will be delivered in the workplace.

Career Progression
Your earnings can increase over time with an apprenticeship. Permanent role for the right applicant upon completion of the apprenticeship. Progression onto Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification.

Skills
