We're seeking an Early Years Practitioner (Toddler Room), based in our East Barnet Day Nursery and Preschool (close to Arnos Grove and Southgate stations).
The Setting
This vibrant 86-place nursery includes:
- Four bright, age-specific learning rooms

The Role: Early Years Practitioner (Toddler Room)
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and assess engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with individual children’s readiness for early milestones.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and expressive environment that:
- Invites creative expression
- Stimulates cognitive growth
- Cultivates a lifelong love of learning
- Build warm, trusting relationships with:
- Colleagues
- Parents and carers
- Champion child-centred learning while adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Guidelines.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
✔ Full and relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or 3 or equivalent) ✔ Track record or passion for inclusive, engaging early childhood education
Commitment & Skills:
🔹 Deep understanding of the EYFS framework 🔹 Safeguarding expertise (Child Protection, aware of Bright Horizons’ DogWOOF safeguarding model) 🔹 Ability to collaborate – flexible and relationship-focused 🔹 Commitment to continuous professional development
