About the Role
Reeson Education is inviting Early Years Practitioners and Early Years Teaching Assistants to register for work across Wandsworth. Opportunities may be available in nursery and Reception settings, including short-term cover and longer assignments. These are general registration opportunities; placements will depend on school requirements and candidate availability.
Early years staff help children feel secure, build relationships and explore new ideas through play. Depending on the setting, an assignment may involve supporting planned activities, observing children's development and helping with everyday routines. Some opportunities may include support for children with speech, language and communication needs or other additional needs.
The Role May Include
- Preparing welcoming, age-appropriate activities and learning spaces.
- Encouraging early communication, social skills, literacy and numeracy through play.
- Helping children take part in group activities and develop independence.
- Sharing observations with the teacher or room leader.
- Supporting routines, transitions and personal care in line with the settings procedures.

The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience working with children in a nursery, Reception class or similar setting.
- Is patient, attentive and able to respond to children at different stages of development.
- Works well with colleagues and communicates clearly.
- Holds a relevant Early Years qualification where an assignment requires one.
- Can provide reliable availability for full-time or part-time work.
