Part of the Inspired Learning Group, Essendene Lodge Nursery is a welcoming, child-centred setting in Caterham, caring for children from 3 months to 5 years. We provide a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover and develop confidence through meaningful play and learning experiences. What you'll be doing

As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. You'll:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
  • Observe, assess and celebrate children's progress and development.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families.
  • Support children's wellbeing, confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a welcoming, inclusive and inspiring environment.
  • Help ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and care.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A DfE-approved Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding.
  • A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping young children achieve the very best start in life.
