Early Years Practitioner – Callands Nursery | Bright Horizons

As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll:
- Plan and lead tailored, engaging activities to nurture children’s physical, emotional, and intellectual development towards key milestones.
- Create a safe, inclusive learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore, express themselves, and build a love for lifelong learning.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and parents/carers to ensure every child’s unique needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement adaptable curricula aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Support children’s personal, social, and emotional growth through interactive play and structured activities.
- Maintain robust safeguarding practices, including mealtime supervision, risk assessments, and behaviour management.
- Work within a team-based approach, leveraging industry best practices while reflecting the nursery’s HEART values.
- Continually evaluate and adaptactivities based on feedback from children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A valid, full-and-relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning, and Development).
- Demonstrated passion for early years education and a commitment to fostering play-based, inclusive learning.
- Strong understanding of EYFS framework, child development, and nuanced gender/socio-emotional diversity.
- Excellent safeguarding awareness and experience implementing preventative strategies to protect children and young people.
- Skilled in building trust with families, aligning with parental communication and collaborative practice.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, multi- giorni setting; physical stamina and emotional resilience are essential.
