Nursery – Early Years Teacher (Barrow)

Salary & Location

  • £30,160 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Location: Barrow, near Barrow In Furness train station

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As an Early Years Teacher, your role will include:

  • Planning and delivering stimulating, inclusive learning opportunities tailored to each child’s needs
  • Designing and maintaining engaging indoor and outdoor environments that inspire growth
  • Conducting effective, accurate assessments aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Building strong partnerships with colleagues, families, and guardians
  • Upholding safeguarding policies and protecting children’s welfare

Requirements

Qualifications

Hold one of the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
  • Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS)
  • Full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification

Essential Skills:

  • A passion for fun, engaging learning experiences for young children
  • Deep knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Strong safeguarding understanding (child protection & welfare)
  • Ability to build trust and work collaboratively with teams + families
  • Welcoming and adaptable communication style
