Role Description
As a UK University Application Mentor at MyMentor, you will support students applying to universities in the United Kingdom by offering structured, practical guidance on their application journey. In this part-time remote role, you will help students research suitable UK programs, plan application timelines, and understand admissions requirements. You will review and provide feedback on personal statements and other written materials, assist with preparing for interviews or assessments, and answer questions about university life and academic expectations. Mentors are expected to communicate clearly with students via online platforms, maintain professional and supportive relationships, and document progress to ensure consistent, high-quality mentoring. You will have flexibility in scheduling sessions while meeting agreed timelines and maintaining high standards of service.

- Demonstrated understanding of Human Resources (HR) principles and HR Management practices relevant to mentoring and supporting students.
- Familiarity with HR Policies and Employee Benefits concepts, with the ability to apply these ideas when advising on academic or career pathways.
- Experience or interest in Personnel Management, including coaching, mentoring, or guiding individuals through structured processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback on personal statements and application materials.
- Current or recent enrollment at a UK university, or substantial knowledge of the UK university admissions process.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple student engagements responsibly.
- High level of professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to providing inclusive, non-discriminatory support to students from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, advising, or education-related roles is beneficial but not required.
