Earthworks Charge Hand - HS2
Location: HS2 Project, Stoneleigh, Kenilworth
Job Type: Full-Time
Rate: PAYE rate Basic £24.96 rising to £37.43 Dependant on Shifts/Overtime.
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to join one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, HS2. The successful candidate will oversee large-scale earthworks operations, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily earthworks activities including excavation, cut and fill, grading, embankments, and drainage works.
- Manage site operatives, plant operators, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.
- Monitor progress against programme targets and report to site management.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and daily reports.
- Implement method statements and risk assessments.
- Coordinate plant, materials, and labour resources.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the workforce.

Requirements
- Previous experience as an Earthworks Supervisor, Foreman, or General Foreman on major civil engineering projects.
- Blue or Gold CSCS Card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
- Strong understanding of bulk earthworks operations and safe systems of work.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects such as rail, highways, or utilities is advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
