About Technip Energies

Technip Energies is a world-leading engineering and technology company delivering energy projects supporting the transition to a net zero future. The Net Zero Teesside Power (NZT Power) project is one of the UK’s flagship decarbonisation initiatives, delivering low-carbon power generation integrated with carbon capture and storage (CCS).

Role Overview

Technip Energies is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer / EasyStructure Operator to support the structural engineering team on the Net Zero Teesside Power project. This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or early-career engineer with an interest in structural analysis and design within large-scale energy projects.

The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training in EasyStructure, Technip Energies’ internal structural analysis and design software, and will work under the close supervision of senior and lead structural engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures associated with power generation and CCS facilities
  • Assist in the development and checking of structural calculation models using EasyStructure (training provided)
  • Prepare and maintain engineering calculations, reports, and design documentation in accordance with project and company standards
  • Support the production and review of technical deliverables such as design notes, calculation packages, and interface data
  • Work closely with discipline engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to ensure coordinated delivery
  • Assist with design optimisations, sensitivity studies, and compliance checks
  • Participate in internal reviews, learning sessions, and technical meetings
  • Ensure work is delivered in line with project schedules, quality requirements, and safety standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
