Job Overview
We have an exciting role which has become available to work within our Inpatient Eating Disorder Service. We are looking for someone who is motivated, compassionate, and recovery-focused. To support the adults and their families through this stage of their treatment journey.
We are looking for someone who wants to work alongside the OT Team - be part of the delivery team in our therapeutic group programme work and 1:1 work. As well as being a consistent part of our wider integrated multidisciplinary team
Main Duties of the Job
- Work closely with the Occupational Therapy team and wider Team in contributing to the facilitation of client-centred activities under the guidance of qualified staff.
- Contribute to the daily running of the Vincent Square therapeutic programme and running of the ward, supporting the MDT.
- Provide activities with personal recovery principles in order to improve the service users’ quality of life and to support them to do the things they want to do and live the life they want to lead.
- Contribute to the facilitation of a programme of social, creative, and skills-based activities within Vincent Square and trips within the local community to both individuals and groups which promotes social inclusion for service users.
- 1:1 Provision under the supervision of the Occupational Therapy Team

Education and Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- English GCSE or equivalent
Previous Experience
Essential Criteria
- Experience in facilitating groups and individual activities.
- Experience of working within a team
- Experience of working with a multicultural environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of working in a mental health setting.
- Voluntary experience
- Provision of activities in health services.
- Teaching experience
Skills and Knowledge
Essential Criteria
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of people with mental health issues
- Able to communicate clearly both in written form and verbally.
- IT Skills
- Ability to work within a team.
- Able to manage time effectively
