About the Role

Join a growing technology company developing advanced materials for next-generation battery technology.

As an EC&I Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing the electrical, controls and instrumentation systems behind new manufacturing processes, taking projects from initial concept through to programming, testing and commissioning.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver EC&I projects from concept through to testing and commissioning
  • Develop and program PLC control systems
  • Select and integrate control and instrumentation hardware
  • Develop Ladder Logic, FBD and Structured Text
  • Develop and maintain SCADA interfaces, I/O lists and control documentation
  • Support electrical design for chemical plant equipment and systems
  • Support HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL and FMEA safety reviews
  • Oversee safe and compliant EC&I installation on site
  • Work closely with Process Engineering and other engineering disciplines
  • Support and mentor colleagues across electrical, controls and instrumentation

  • EC&I / Controls engineering experience
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or similar Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience delivering EC&I work from concept through to delivery
  • PLC programming and control system experience
  • Broad understanding of electrical, controls and instrumentation engineering
  • Electrical design experience using AutoCAD, EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical would be beneficial
  • Experience in at least one of the following:
    • Chemical/process equipment
    • PLC-driven real-time control systems
    • Siemens hardware and software
    • Safety-rated control functions
