An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ecologist to join an established and growing environmental consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering practical ecological services across a diverse range of projects. The company provides professional ecological advice, surveys and assessments to support development and land management projects, offering an Ecologist the opportunity to work across varied and interesting schemes.

As an Ecologist, you will be involved in a mixture of fieldwork and consultancy:based responsibilities, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, ecological appraisals, report writing and supporting clients throughout the planning process. This is an excellent opportunity for an Ecologist looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • Previous ecological consultancy experience is desirable
  • Experience undertaking ecological surveys and producing technical reports
  • Good understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning processes
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Applicants must live in or near Preston or be willing to commute to the office
