This is an excellent opportunity for a Seasonal Ecologist to join a Worthington based ecological consultancy, providing fantastic opportunities, including technically challenging projects offering hands on experience in all aspects of ecological consultancy. You will be a part of the team conducting fieldwork, report writing and data analysis.

This position is primarily fieldwork based with duties including protected species surveys, monitoring, and site visits, with some time spent in the office assisting with desk duties and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities Of This Ecologist Position

  • Conducting protected species and habitat surveys
  • Assisting with ecological assessments and technical reporting
  • Supporting project teams on development and planning projects
  • Contributing to field surveys for species such as bats, reptiles, amphibians, birds and other protected fauna

Personal Specification

Experience in surveying is desirable with basic UK botany skills, strong written and verbal communication, flexibility to work unsocial hours and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate will have to live near or in Worthington, have a clean and valid driving license + vehicle and a full right to work in the UK.
