Ecologist: Tetbury
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and motivated Ecologist to join a growing environmental consultancy based in Tetbury. Working as part of a friendly and experienced team, the successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of ecological projects across the UK. The role offers a varied workload, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, ecological appraisals, report writing, and supporting planning and development projects from inception through to completion. The Role
- Undertake a variety of ecological surveys, including protected species and habitat assessments.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, and protected species documentation.
- Assist with project management, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Liaise with clients, planning authorities, and project teams.
- Support biodiversity enhancement and habitat management initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related subject.
- Has experience working within ecological consultancy or a similar environment.
- Possesses a sound knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
- Is an excellent communicator with strong report-writing skills.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Protected species survey licences would be advantageous but are not essential.
