This is an excellent opportunity for an Ecologist looking to gain varied consultancy experience within a friendly and supportive team. The Ecologist will be involved in field surveys, ecological assessments, reporting and construction:stage ecological support.

The Ecologist Role Will Involve

  • Undertaking protected species, habitat and ornithological surveys
  • Supporting ecological impact assessments and planning applications
  • Preparing ecological reports, management plans and monitoring documentation
  • Working as an Ecological Clerk of Works where required
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and other environmental professionals
  • Travelling across the Highlands and Islands, with occasional overnight stays

To be considered for the Ecologist position, you will need:

  • Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related subject
  • Previous consultancy or relevant fieldwork experience
  • Strong survey and report:writing skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Living in or within a commutable distance of Inverness
