Overview
Are you ready to help build something different?
If you’re passionate about people, community, and positive impact — and you’re excited by the chance to support Ecology’s first Community Branch — we’d love to hear from you.
We are now recruiting for an Ecology Community Engagement Manager in Porth.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in Ecology’s pioneering Community Branch in Porth — supporting local people, building relationships, and helping our mission reach further into the community.
Never heard of us? Don’t worry! At Ecology Building Society, we exist to do things differently. In a world that doesn’t always add up, we use the power of finance to help people, communities, and the planet thrive. Our Community Branch model is an innovative, people-first way of delivering value locally — bringing ethical finance, practical support, and positive impact into the heart of the community.
Now, we’re looking for a community-minded Ecology Community Engagement Manager to help bring this vision to life.
As Community Engagement Manager, you’ll work closely with the Branch Manager to support the successful operation and positive community impact of the Porth Community Branch.
You’ll be a visible representative of Ecology in the community — building relationships with local organisations, partners and community groups, while helping customers and visitors feel welcomed, supported and valued.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
