We’ve partnered with the dynamic eCom finance agency, eClarity, seeking an eCommerce Accounts Assistant to join their scaling team and support some of the most disruptive growth brands in the industry.
About eClarity
eClarity are a remote eCommerce accounting and advisory firm, specialising in supporting fast-growing DTC brands with a global portfolio exceeding $700M USD. Clients include The Essence Vault, Spacegoods, Druids Golf, Vanquish Fitness, and 47 Skin, among others. Over recent years, they’ve raised $100M+ in debt/equity financing. eClarity aims to become the best DTC finance team globally and lead the market in DTC financial advisory.

About the Role
As an eCommerce Accounts Assistant, you’ll work closely with the eCommerce Finance Manager, ensuring spotless, up-to-date financial records—the backbone of client success. Here, ** precision, automation, and real-time reporting** guide client strategy, ensuring decision-makers have visibility, accuracy, and actionable financial insights every step of the way.

You’ll not only lay robust financial foundations for clients but also help define, refine, and scale eClarity’s own financial capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who loves problem-solving, driving efficiencies, and building impact-driven, commercially savvy organisations.
Responsibilities
Client Facing
- Support and enhance client financial controls, offering improvements and automation recommendations
- Handle daily bookkeeping and reconciliations with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and eliminating backlogs
- Ensure real-time financial reporting, providing clients with continuous, actionable insights
- Build strong client relationships, minimising extraneous requests to reclaim their time
- Improve financial processes and controls, introducing automated efficiencies where practicable
- Prepare and deliver enhanced management accounts, commentary, and real-time cash flow reporting
- Support fundraising and model-building initiatives, including budgets, forecasts, and strategic pricing/cost-saving models
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients in digestible formats
Internal
- Maintain accurate and automated client invoicing, ensuring timely debt collection and minimising debtor days
- Contribute to the credit control process and financial performance analytics, offering strategic recommendations
- Uphold company values and brand standards with exceptional stakeholder engagement
- Respond efficiently to internal requests, fostering a culture of agility and responsiveness
Candidate Profile
- Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving – driven by precision and continuous improvement
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., complex models, dashboard building, PivotTables, formulas such as VLOOKUP).
- Process-driven mindset – eagerness to identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows.
- Commercially acutely aware and adaptable to e-commerce, retail, and DTC scaling challenges.
- Strong relationship-builder—capable of collaborating across a global finance team or broader organisation.
- Versatile and adaptive within a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Requirements
✔3+ years experience reporting into a Head of Finance (HOF), FD/CFO ✔Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant e-commerce or retail exposure ✔ Competitive high-achiever with a passion for results-driven outcomes ✔ Retail, marketplace, or DTC/e-commerce experience (preferred) ✔ Proficiency in advanced Excel (dashboards, complex modelling, dashboard automation) alongside core accounting/finance platforms ✔ Background in a start-up or scaling organisation
