About The Role

The Ecommerce Assistant role supports DTC growth across our biggest commercial channel. This role supports key commercial targets by driving excellence across website product presentation, content, 3rd party apps and campaigns, inspiring customers to engage, purchase and return. It requires understanding of systems, needs a strong eye for detail and methodical mindset. This role has a global customer mindset, and needs to consider our US customer differently to our UK, and needs a strong understanding of our brand values, alongside commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the product enhancement process, balancing automated rules with a keen human eye for detail, ensuring product is correctly portrayed online, and in line with our brand guidelines
  • Manage product imagery process, working closely with the Creative dept to receive the correct product imagery, spec’d and in a timely manner
  • Maintain the product catalog and product uploads, ensuring the product is correctly displayed in the correct market or channel, including for Retail Stores
  • Update website content on a weekly basis to support country level marketing campaigns, in line with Trade Calendar direction
  • Support Ecommerce Executive to implement seasonal markdown events ensuring customer journey is coherent and optimized
  • Support Ecommerce Executive with website visual merchandising rules, ensuring product is optimized on the correct pages, for the correct season, in the relevant countries and meets our visual brand guidelines
  • Take a pro-active role in web trading to update and provide challenges on how we can improve our sales
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer web journeys, working across teams to support future improvements and customer experience
  • Develop a strong understanding of our analytics tools to support decision making and understand customer behaviour
  • Run daily checks of the website, and monitor our error board, flagging and fixing any issues around product that arise

What You’ll Bring To Finisterre

  • You will be looking to start your career in E-Commerce and will be keen to learn about all aspects of our online business.
  • A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to tasks and problem solving.
  • Organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate across different areas of the business.
  • Willingness to own and drive your personal development plan, and open to asking for and accepting feedback on performance
  • Commitment to inclusivity and sustainability, and social and environmental sustainability
  • Passion, energy and aspiration in line with Finisterre values, products, brand and customers
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Basic HTML knowledge.

What You’ll Receive From Finisterre

We are offering a full time, permanent contract, based at our Headquarters at Wheal Kitty, St Agnes, Cornwall. As a Real Living Wage Employer, we’ll invest in you with a salary of £26,227.50.
