Take ownership of the Majestic Wine app in an exciting, high-visibility role!
Having recently launched our brand-new mobile app, we are looking for a proactive Ecommerce Executive to manage day-to-day app performance, drive onsite promotional execution, and enhance the customer experience to boost conversion.
As part of the wider Ecommerce team, you’ll be hands-on in optimising app trading, delivering seamless loyalty and content experiences, and supporting our wider digital channels, including Subscriptions and Commercial platforms.
The Role
As an Ecommerce Executive, you will support the Ecommerce Trading Manager in the day-to-day management, performance, and optimisation of the Majestic Wine app. You will focus on executing the onsite promotional plan, fine-tuning customer journeys to maximise conversion, and delivering core business objectives.
In addition, you will support Majestic’s wider digital propositions (such as Subscriptions and Commercial websites) and maintain a working knowledge of the main Majestic website to provide flexible across-the-board support. This role offers broad exposure across Majestic’s digital ecosystem—combining daily trading, app development support, conversion optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Job Specifics
- Contract Type: Full Time | Permanent
- Location: Watford - Support Centre (15-minute walk from Watford Junction station)
- Reporting to: Ecommerce Trading Manager
- Grade: 5
- Working Model: Hybrid (at least 3 days in the office)
Key Responsibilities
- Own weekly and monthly app trading performance reporting, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Create and deliver reports to support trade optimisation, proposing improvements to increase conversion across the app and other Majestic websites
- Provide support to the wider Ecommerce team and main website as required
- Support the launch and ongoing development of wider business websites and propositions, including subscriptions, commercial sites and new initiatives, with responsibility for tagging, analytics and trading improvement recommendations
- Manage and brief all app content, including service messaging and the execution of loyalty requests - ensure the accuracy of product representation on the app, including visual merchandising standards and taxonomy
- Lead UAT and regression testing for app releases and new features, ensuring quality and functionality, and support releases on the main website and other majestic websites.
- Ensure analytics and tracking are correctly implemented and functioning on the app
- Support cross-business initiatives and ad-hoc projects as needed

Knowledge & Skills Required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in an ecommerce role, ideally within a B2C retail environment.
- App Management: Practical experience managing and optimising B2C mobile applications.
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and experience with Google Tag Manager (Firebase experience is a strong plus).
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using ecommerce metrics, data, and analytics tools to spot trading opportunities and solve customer friction points.
- Testing & QA: Hands-on experience executing UAT and release testing for digital platforms.
- Communication & Collaboration: Confident communicator, skilled at managing relationships across various departments and seniority levels.
- Organisation: Excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to balance daily trading tasks with ongoing project work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial Drive: Results-focused with a strong grasp of retail ecommerce best practices, digital trends, and competitor benchmarking.

Internal Applicant Requirements
- Tenure: Applicants must have a minimum of 12 months of continuous service with the business.
- Peak Notice (Retail Staff): If selected from a retail role, your official start date in this position will be scheduled after Peak trading finishes.
