Ecommerce Executive | Online Retailer | Greater Manchester | Salary up to £33k

A fast-growing scale-up business is looking for an ambitious Ecommerce Executive to join its growing Sales & Marketing team. This is an opportunity for someone who is commercially curious, highly proactive and genuinely interested in how ecommerce can drive business growth.

The role is hands-on and detail focused, with responsibility across website merchandising, campaign execution, digital marketing and performance analysis. The business is looking for someone who wants to get stuck in, spot opportunities, solve problems and learn quickly in an environment where no two days are the same.

This could suit an early-career ecommerce or marketing professional with 1-3 years' experience, or an ambitious graduate with a relevant degree and a genuine passion for ecommerce and digital marketing.

The Ecommerce Executive will work closely with the Ecommerce Manager to deliver day-to-day ecommerce and digital marketing activity, ensuring campaigns are executed effectively, the website is continually optimised and performance insights are turned into action.

The role will have a strong commercial focus, with the successful individual expected to take ownership, challenge the status quo and continually look for ways to improve the customer journey and online performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the campaign planner, ensuring activity is accurately planned, communicated and delivered across relevant teams.
  • Coordinate campaigns across email, website, homepage and social channels.
  • Manage product listings and online merchandising, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and optimised for conversion.
  • Support seasonal promotions, product launches and other key commercial campaigns.
  • Work with creative and content teams to deliver effective website and marketing assets.
  • Analyse campaign, website and customer performance, tracking key metrics including traffic, conversion, ROI, engagement and retention.
  • Produce regular performance reporting and turn data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Research competitor activity, market trends and customer behaviour to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Support CRM, email and customer loyalty initiatives, with a focus on increasing engagement and lifetime value.
  • Work closely with Ecommerce, Buying, Customer Service, IT and Development teams to resolve issues and improve the customer experience.
  • Manage relationships with relevant technology and service partners, including search, reviews, payments and customer support platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve website performance, merchandising and the overall customer journey.
  • Take ownership of projects and processes, documenting best practice and continually looking for more efficient ways of working.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will bring:

  • Experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, online retail or a related discipline, or a relevant degree with strong evidence of interest in ecommerce.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to take ownership rather than wait to be asked.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand data, identify insights and turn them into action.
  • Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, projects and priorities.
  • A genuine interest in ecommerce, customer experience and digital growth.
  • A meticulous eye for detail, particularly when managing website content, campaigns and reporting.
  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to work across different teams.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to get involved across different areas of the business.
  • A growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new platforms, tools and ways of working.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a desire to understand what drives revenue and customer value.

Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Magento or Shopify, CRM, SEO/SEM, A/B testing, analytics or digital marketing tools would be advantageous, but is not essential.

The Ecommerce Executive role is particularly suited to someone who is hungry to learn, commercially minded and comfortable working at pace. The successful individual will be someone who sees a problem and finds a solution, spots an opportunity and acts on it, and wants to build a career in ecommerce rather than simply do a job.
