Role: Commerce Assistant

Reporting: Ecommerce Manager
Location: THG ICON 1, 7-9 Sunbank Lane, WA15 0AF (fully office based)
Role Overview:
The eCommerce Assistant will support the day-to-day execution of the Activewear Trading strategy, working closely with the eCommerce Manager and wider cross-functional teams. The role will focus on driving profitable online sales, through delivering seamless product launches and campaigns, optimising onsite merchandising, supporting regional & channel growth opportunities, and analysing performance to identify actions that drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onsite Trading & Go-Lives: Support the execution of product launches, campaigns and key trading events, co-ordinating go-live processes and conducting checks across; imagery, content, pricing, restrictions.
- Merchandising & Optimisation: Maintain and optimise category merchandising, product placement, SKU availability, landing pages and navigation to maximise product visibility and support sell-through.
- Competitor & Market Analysis: Monitor competitor activity, trends and customer behaviour across onsite & offsite campaign activity, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Regional Trading: Act as a key contact for selected regional teams, supporting trade calendars for the category, driving promotional activity, growth opportunities and localised execution.
- Optimisation & Analysis: Analyse sales and digital performance across products, regions and channels, proactively identifying insights and opportunities to optimise onsite experience, product visibility, digital merchandising and overall trading performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Brand and Customer Services to ensure strong digital execution, and a seamless customer experience.

Requirements:
- Interest in online retail and the fashion / activewear market, with a commercial mindset and passion for understanding customer behaviour.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data to identify trends, opportunities and performance insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear reports and communicate findings effectively.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple teams.
- Highly motivated, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
- Previous experience in eCommerce, Merchandising, Digital Trading or a similar commercial environment is desirable but not essential.
