E-commerce Marketplace Manager
Fully Remote (UK) | Up to £60,000 Basic + Significant Bonus | Permanent
Build it. Grow it. Make it your own.
Are you an experienced E-commerce Marketplace Manager who wants the freedom to build something from the ground up, rather than simply manage an established online operation?
Our client is a successful, family-owned international trading business supplying some of the world's most recognised fragrance and personal care brands to major retailers across the UK and Europe.
Following continued growth, the business is now looking to establish its own direct-to-consumer marketplace operation. This is where you come in.
We're looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded individual to take ownership of this exciting new venture, initially focusing on launching and developing the company's UK eBay and Amazon sales channels.
You'll have the products, competitive pricing, supplier relationships, and warehousing infrastructure already in place. What we need is someone with the marketplace expertise and commercial drive to turn these advantages into a successful and profitable online business.
What will you be doing?
- Building and developing the company's UK eBay and Amazon marketplace operations from the ground up.
- Managing product listings, pricing, promotions, and marketplace performance.
- Analysing sales data, competitor activity, and consumer demand to identify opportunities for growth.
- Taking ownership of marketplace sales, profitability, stock management, and fulfilment.
- Introducing AI, automation, and new technologies to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
- Working closely with senior management to develop the marketplace strategy and identify new commercial opportunities.
- As the business develops, there will also be opportunities to expand into European marketplaces and potentially broaden your role into wider retail account management and business development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
