We’re working exclusively with a growing ecommerce business looking to recruit an experienced Ecommerce Trading Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day online trading and commercial performance.
This is a hands-on role focused on driving online sales and profitability through effective trading, merchandising, promotions, and conversion optimisation. Working closely with Finance, Marketing, and the wider business, you’ll use data and customer insight to identify opportunities and improve ecommerce performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own ecommerce sales, revenue, margin, and profit performance
- Plan and manage the ecommerce trading calendar, pricing, promotions, and offers
- Manage onsite merchandising across products, categories, collections, and landing pages
- Optimise the customer journey, conversion rates, and overall online experience
- Analyse product, category, campaign, and customer performance to identify growth opportunities
- Work closely with Finance and Marketing on forecasting, budgets, campaigns, and trading activity
- Report on key ecommerce KPIs and make recommendations to senior management

Requirements:
- Previous experience in ecommerce trading, digital trading, or online retail
- Strong understanding of ecommerce merchandising and commercial trading
- Experience managing pricing, promotions, sales, and margin
- Good understanding of CRO, conversion, and the online customer journey
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with confidence using ecommerce data
- Able to work collaboratively across Finance, Marketing, and wider teams
- Experience with ecommerce and business systems such as Magento, Brightpearl, Xero, Google Workspace, and advertising platforms would be advantageous
