Ecommerce Merchandiser, AIM Stores
Location: Manchester, UK
Working pattern: Full time, 5 days a week in the Manchester office
About The Role
We’re looking for an Ecommerce Merchandiser to help build and shape AIM Stores.
This is a role for someone who knows what a great ecommerce store looks and feels like, but also understands the commercial thinking behind it.
You’ll decide how products are presented, grouped, priced and talked about. You’ll research markets and competitors, spot opportunities, build collections for different industries and make sure every product earns its place.
We’re looking for someone with a strong creative eye, a commercial brain and genuine curiosity about what makes people buy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Merchandising AIM Stores. Owning how products are organised, presented and positioned across the ecommerce experience. You’ll think about the journey as a whole, not just individual products.
- Building curated collections. Creating thoughtful product edits for different vertical markets, audiences, occasions and opportunities. From hospitality and healthcare to finance, education and beyond.
- Researching the market. Looking at competitors, consumer brands, industry trends and wider ecommerce behaviour to understand what’s working, what’s changing and where the opportunities are.
- Setting the right price points. Using market and competitor research to help determine how products should be priced and positioned, rather than relying on guesswork.
- Turning product features into reasons to buy. Understanding what actually makes a product different and translating those USPs into clear, compelling product descriptions.
- Keeping a close eye on competitors. Regularly analysing how other businesses merchandise, price, package and position products, then using those insights to make AIM Stores better.
- Bringing a creative eye. Knowing when a collection feels considered, when a product page needs work and when something simply doesn’t look good enough.
- Using AI as part of the job. We embrace AI and want someone who does too. You’ll use it as part of your everyday workflow to research faster, explore ideas, analyse information and improve how you work.
- Working as part of the team. Collaborating closely with our brand, marketing, product and wider AIM teams to turn ideas into something customers actually want to use.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role
AIM Stores is something we’re building, not something you’ll simply inherit.
So we’re looking for someone who wants to have a hand in shaping it. Someone who notices the details, asks why, researches before making decisions and has an opinion on what good ecommerce should look like.
If you understand both what looks good and what makes commercial sense, we’d love to hear from you.
