Are you passionate about ecommerce, digital retail and creating outstanding online experiences?
Westland Horticulture is looking for an eCommerce Merchandiser to join our growing Digital Marketing team and take ownership of the day-to-day trading and merchandising across our B2C and B2B ecommerce platforms. You'll work across some of our well-known brands, including Marshalls Garden, Kent & Stowe, Peckish birdfeed and our b2b platform Westland Live, helping to grow online sales, improve conversion and deliver an engaging customer journey.
The role
You'll be responsible for bringing our ecommerce sites to life from seasonal campaigns and new product launches to onsite merchandising, product content, promotions and optimisation. You'll use customer and website data to identify opportunities, improve performance and make sure our digital platforms are commercially effective.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day trading and merchandising of our ecommerce websites via Shopify.
- Planning and delivering seasonal campaigns, promotions and product launches.
- Creating engaging, SEO-friendly product content and listings.
- Optimising categories, navigation, search, cross-selling and upselling.
- Analysing website performance, conversion and customer behaviour.
- Managing the ecommerce trading calendar and coordinating activity across teams.
- Briefing digital content including banners, landing pages, imagery and video.
- Working closely with Brand, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.
- Supporting the development and optimisation of our ecommerce platforms.

About you
You'll ideally have 2+ years' experience in ecommerce merchandising, trading or a similar digital role, with:
- Experience using an ecommerce CMS, ideally Shopify.
- Knowledge of Email marketing software to collaborate with the Email Marketing Manager
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of sales and margin.
- Knowledge of SEO, onsite optimisation and Google Analytics/GA4.
- Excellent copywriting and content skills.
- A creative eye for digital merchandising and customer experience.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience using AI tools to support content creation and productivity.

Experience within FMCG, retail, home & garden and or lifestyle would be a bonus, as would B2B ecommerce and CRO experience.
