In this dynamic and fast paced role, you will play a key part in attracting customers to George.com by optimising our onsite experience through a range of digital tools, platforms and techniques including Algolia and Salesforce. You will champion the customer journey, ensuring our online shoppers enjoy an easy, fast and friendly experience every time they visit the site.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Site Optimisation

  • Attract and engage customers through effective use of tools and systems such as Algolia, Salesforce and onsite optimisation platforms.
  • Conduct daily onsite walks and analyse performance data to identify opportunities to enhance categorisation, filters, product content and customer journeys.
  • Monitor product visibility, availability and basic site performance indicators, identifying issues and escalating or resolving where needed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve the customer experience.

Site Merchandising & Content Management

  • Manage and maintain the online product catalogue, ensuring categorisation accuracy and that all products are presented to a high standard, reflecting our brand and trading priorities.
  • Support site merchandising activity, utilising ecommerce tools to implement product placement, filters and category optimisation.
  • Assist with homepage, landing page and category page updates.
  • Perform regular QA checks on content, resolving issues promptly to maintain a seamless customer experience.

Campaigns & Trading Support

  • Support the delivery of seasonal promotions, campaigns and trading events in line with the commercial trading calendar.
  • Collaborate with product and digital and marketing teams to deliver timely and accurate site updates.

Teamwork, Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a cohesive and customer-focused online experience.
  • Act as an active, positive contributor to the team—supporting colleagues, sharing ideas and consistently going the extra mile.
