Role Purpose

The E-commerce Pricing Manager is responsible for developing and delivering the company’s digital pricing strategy, ensuring our ecommerce pricing remains commercially competitive whilst maximising sales, margin and customer value.

Working closely with the Head of Pricing & Commercial Optimisation, Category Management, Commercial Pricing, Marketing, Digital and IT teams, the role will use market intelligence, customer insight and competitor analysis to optimise online pricing performance across all digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the ecommerce pricing strategy in line with wider commercial objectives:

    • Support profitable growth across all digital sales channels.
    • Monitor, review and optimise pricing architecture for online customers.
    • Recommend pricing strategies for new ecommerce initiatives and digital propositions.
    • Support the development of competitor pricing dashboards and reporting.
  • Constantly monitor and improve pricing using appropriate analysis:

    • Analyse customer purchasing behaviour across digital channels.
    • Monitor pricing effectiveness and promotional performance.
    • Monitor and analyse competitor pricing trends and promotional activity.
    • Produce insight that supports commercial decision-making.
  • Support colleagues and other team members:

    • Work alongside IT and Digital teams to improve pricing functionality and website experience.
    • Support the pricing analyst with customer segmentation.
    • Work with the commercial analyst to align e-commerce and “bricks and mortar” pricing strategies.

Essential for a Successful Candidate

  • Advanced analytical skills with experience interpreting large datasets.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Strong commercial awareness and grasp of business profitability and fixed vs variable costs (in any sector).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through data and commercial insight.
  • Must be available to travel or commute to office at least once per week.

Desirable Experience

  • Automotive aftermarket or distribution experience.
  • Experience of ecommerce pricing strategies.
  • Data scraping.
  • Competitor price monitoring.
  • SQL, Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Pricing automation.
  • ERP or pricing system experience.

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Ecommerce sales growth.

  • Promotional effectiveness.
  • Pricing accuracy.
  • Speed of pricing implementation.
