Ecommerce Product Catalog & Research Analyst
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Ecommerce Product Catalog & Research Analyst based in United Kingdom.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys combining product research, technology knowledge, and ecommerce operations.
You will be responsible for discovering new technology products and transforming accurate research into high-quality online catalog listings.
The position plays an important role in keeping product information complete, current, competitive, and easy for customers to understand.
You will work extensively with ecommerce platforms, research databases, AI-powered tools, and structured product data.
The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify discrepancies before they affect the customer experience.
You will also monitor competitors and technology trends to help keep the marketplace relevant and accurately positioned.
Success in this role means maintaining a reliable, up-to-date catalog while delivering consistently high-quality work under deadlines.
Accountabilities
- Conduct detailed research on newly launched technology products using official manufacturer websites and other trusted sources.
- Create and maintain ecommerce product listings with accurate manufacturer numbers, pricing, technical specifications, descriptions, images, and other relevant product information.
- Regularly review and update existing listings to reflect new models, specification changes, pricing updates, and other product developments.
- Perform catalog audits to identify missing, outdated, inconsistent, or inaccurate information and implement necessary corrections.
- Ensure product data meets established quality standards, marketplace requirements, and internal catalog guidelines.
- Use AI-powered research and data extraction tools to gather, validate, organize, and accelerate product information workflows.
- Monitor competitor websites and product offerings to identify market trends, pricing developments, product positioning, and new opportunities.
- Manage multiple catalog and research assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy or consistency.
- Collaborate effectively with relevant teams to resolve product-data issues and maintain a high-quality customer-facing marketplace.

Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing products in Magento or a comparable ecommerce platform.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with AI-powered research tools, automated data extraction, and technology-assisted information gathering.
- Good understanding of technology products, including IT hardware and software, cloud solutions, and AI-related products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word, for managing and organizing product information.
- Ability to research unfamiliar products quickly, interpret technical specifications, and convert complex information into clear product content.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data-quality issues.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent standards across a large and evolving product catalog.
