Product Projects Assistant
We are looking for a Product Projects Assistant to join our eCommerce UK Trading team. Based from NEXT head office in Enderby, Leicester, offering a competitive salary range and great benefits!
The Role
The UK Trading team is the energy behind our online sales across all departments. We focus on optimising product launches and strategic promotions to ensure our brand continues to evolve and reach over 8 million customers worldwide.
As a Product Projects Assistant, you will drive key projects focused on improving the onsite customer experience. Focusing primarily on product onboarding, Product Description Page (PDP) and the shopping bag, you will act as the technical expert for this stream, ensuring development backlogs are commercially prioritised to deliver a first-class customer journey and maximise funnel conversion.
What You'll Take On
- Understand the customer journey and key funnel metrics to optimise site conversion from how products first appear on the site through to the shopping bag.
- Support the development roadmap by coordinating testing, attending project meetings, demonstrating new features and sharing information updates with the wider business.
- Formulate and put forward new testing ideas, managing the backlog to continuously improve overall site performance and commercial results.
- Monitor competitors and user behavior to generate innovative ideas for the product experience, assisting with technical scoping requirements.
- Flag, track and resolve live site functionality issues promptly, collaborating with support teams and escalating obstacles when necessary.
- Partner collaboratively across internal teams, including eCommerce Data, Developments, UX, Marketing and Product Content, and external partners like Bazaarvoice and Google.
- Identify and drive AI and automation solutions to streamline admin tasks and enhance overall team capacity and efficiency.
- Review top-line funnel KPIs (conversion, traffic, drop-offs, sales) and deliver weekly trade updates on key metrics and project progress.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
