Senior Vice President, eCommerce Product

Citi is looking for a Senior Vice President, eCommerce Product to lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of next-generation digital payments and embedded account solutions across the UK, Europe, and globally. Sitting within Citi's Global eCommerce and Banking as a Service team, this role carries significant ownership over eCommerce product direction — shaping offerings that serve high-growth client segments including Marketplaces, Online Travel, and other digital commerce platforms. You will work at the intersection of payments innovation, product development, client engagement, and cross-functional delivery, driving outcomes that directly impact Citi's position in the global eCommerce market.

Responsibilities

  • Own the eCommerce payments product strategy for the UK and Europe regions, defining priorities based on market opportunity, client need, and revenue potential, and ensuring alignment across product, sales, and senior stakeholder groups.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics continuously to identify emerging eCommerce use cases, revenue opportunities, and areas where Citi can innovate.
  • Engage directly with high-priority clients to co-create solutions, shape strategic deal structures, and translate client needs into clearly defined product requirements.
  • Lead end-to-end solution design and product development in collaboration with technology teams, external partners, and functions including risk and compliance, delivering enhancements that improve client outcomes.
  • Establish risk assessment frameworks and client onboarding screening criteria for eCommerce segments, and maintain ongoing monitoring of existing client risk exposure.
  • Drive commercialization programs in close partnership with Sales, Client, and Marketing teams to convert product capabilities into measurable revenue growth.
  • Define and track performance targets in collaboration with Sales, using metrics to evaluate product effectiveness and inform roadmap decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
