Ecommerce Retail Media Lead
Permanent | Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £85,000 + 20% bonus
The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a market-leading online retailer to appoint an Ecommerce Retail Media Lead to help shape the next stage of its onsite retail media proposition.
This is an opportunity to join a high-growth Ecommerce environment at a point of significant transformation.
The business already operates a high-volume supplier-funded media proposition across its website and app. The next phase is about moving beyond manual execution, introducing greater automation, stronger campaign management, and a more commercially sophisticated approach to onsite media.
You’ll play a central role in making that happen.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the execution and evolution of supplier-funded media across web and app
- Partner with Commercial, Buying, Ecommerce, and Retail Media teams to maximise monetisation while protecting the customer experience
- Develop onsite campaign packages that deliver value for both suppliers and customers
- Own the end-to-end Ad Operations lifecycle, from briefing and creative approval through to execution, QA, tracking, and reporting
- Monitor and optimise media placement performance using data and customer insight
- Help shape rate cards, SLAs, and commercial guardrails for onsite media
- Work with Product, Technology, and external vendors to improve ad-serving capability and delivery
- Identify manual processes and bottlenecks, then lead initiatives to automate and streamline workflows
- Work closely with Ecommerce Product and Merchandising teams to test and optimise new onsite functionality
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team responsible for campaign setup, execution, and QA
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure supplier-funded media meets technical and customer experience standards

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
