About your role
The purpose of this position is to translate the SBF GB&I business strategy into a clear, insight-led eCommerce strategy that delivers profitable, sustainable growth across multiple online channels.
What You'll Do
eCommerce Strategy & Growth
- Lead, own, and develop the 3-year eCommerce strategy, roadmap, and annual operational plans, defining what success looks like and the priorities required to deliver it.
- Develop a deep understanding of market, shopper, customer, and competitor dynamics, translating insight into actionable growth opportunities across Grocery.com, Amazon, Pure Play, and B2B.
- Embed eCommerce into the wider commercial and strategic planning process, ensuring online plans complement the total customer and omnichannel strategy while championing eCommerce across SBF GB&I and the region.
- Provide clear, insight-led recommendations on where to invest, ensuring resource and spend are focused behind the highest-value opportunities.
Customer & Commercial Leadership
- Build strong senior-level partnerships and an external eCommerce network, positioning SBF GB&I as a valued strategic partner.
- Lead the development and negotiation of strong eJBPs and customer plans, creating bespoke opportunities that deliver mutual value and competitive advantage.
- Own delivery of profitable online sales growth, including volume, Net Sales, and GP performance, with clear visibility of opportunities, risks, and corrective actions.
- Work with RGM to optimize Pack Price Architecture, promotional choices, and commercial levers across key online formats, ensuring financially robust plans and sustainable ROI.

Execution & Capability
- Lead execution of the eCommerce strategy through relevant customer and multi-functional teams, driving digital shelf excellence across availability, discoverability/search, content, ratings & reviews, and conversion fundamentals.
- Partner closely with Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to create aligned plans and maximize impact.
- Build and embed an eCommerce playbook, insight, training, and tools that improve capability and drive action across brands and channels.
- Establish and track relevant eCommerce KPIs, combining customer, shopper, and digital performance data to identify growth opportunities, optimize investment, and rapidly convert learnings into action.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the eCommerce team, setting clear priorities and SMART objectives aligned to business goals.
- Create an accountable, collaborative, and high-performance environment, using influence to align senior internal and external stakeholders behind the eCommerce agenda.
- Act as a visible role model for strategic thinking, commercial discipline, and results delivery.

What You Need to Be Successful
Essential
- Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven FMCG commercial experience with a strong eCommerce background.
- Proven track record in eCommerce strategy development and delivery of sustainable growth.
- Strong commercial acumen including P&L management and RGM levers.
- Highly analytical and data-driven with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in customer/account management and complex commercial negotiations.
- People leadership experience with ability to coach and develop teams.
- Excellent influencing, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Desirable
- Experience working with Grocery.com, Amazon, and/or Pure Play channels.
- Knowledge of digital shelf management and eCommerce operational best practices.
- Experience in FMCG soft drinks or related fast-moving consumer goods sectors.
