Trekitt is looking for an eCommerce Specialist & Content Producer to join our team in Hereford on a 6-month fixed-term contract to help us create an outstanding online shopping experience for outdoor enthusiasts. If you’re a strong writer, passionate about the outdoors and interested in eCommerce, we’d love to hear from you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At the heart of this role is product copywriting. You’ll spend much of your time getting to know the latest outdoor kit, researching products and technologies, and turning technical information into clear, accurate and engaging product descriptions that help our customers choose the right kit for their adventure.
But there’s more to the role than product descriptions. You’ll also get involved in SEO content, buying guides, blogs, collection and category content, landing pages and the visual assets that bring the Trekitt website to life.
This is a temporary position for six-months.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Research and write accurate, engaging and useful product descriptions.
- Turn technical specifications, features and technologies into customer-friendly copy.
- Add and maintain products within our Content Management System, ensuring product information, technical data and imagery are accurate and presented to a high standard.
- Create SEO-focused copy for collection and category pages that works for search engines without losing sight of the customer.
- Write buying guides, blogs and other useful content to help customers choose the right products.
- Create and maintain website content and eCommerce assets, including homepage banners, landing pages and collection pages.
- Work with suppliers and outdoor brands to source product information, imagery and assets.
- Support Marketing with seasonal campaigns and wider eCommerce activity.
- Maintain a consistently high standard across Trekitt’s written and visual website content.
- Complete basic administrative tasks and reporting as required to support the wider eCommerce team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHO YOU ARE
First and foremost, we’re looking for a great writer with an eye for detail. You don’t need to know everything about every piece of outdoor kit from day one. Still, you should be curious, willing to learn and able to research unfamiliar products and technologies before explaining them clearly to someone else.
You’ll ideally have:
- Excellent written English and the ability to produce clear, engaging and persuasive copy.
- A genuine passion for the outdoors and an interest in outdoor clothing and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- An understanding of eCommerce and how good content can improve the customer journey.
- A good understanding of SEO and writing content for organic search.
- Strong research skills and an interest in learning about products, materials and technologies.
- The ability to manage your own workload and work on multiple projects at once.
- A creative eye and an interest in how copy and imagery work together online.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
