Freelance Ecommerce Trading Lead
£350–£450 per day

Our client is looking for an experienced ecommerce trading professional to take ownership of the commercial performance of its direct-to-consumer channel. This is a hands-on opportunity within a premium fashion/lifestyle environment, combining trading strategy, merchandising, product catalogue management and performance analysis. You’ll have genuine influence over revenue, margin, stock productivity and the customer journey, while working closely with merchandising, creative and senior stakeholders. With an immediate start required, this role will suit someone who can quickly understand a trading environment, identify opportunities and turn data into decisive commercial action.
The Freelance Ecommerce Trading Lead will take ownership of day-to-day ecommerce trading, balancing commercial performance with excellent digital product presentation.

- Own ecommerce revenue, margin, inventory targets and wider P&L performance
- Build weekly, monthly and seasonal trading plans, responding quickly to performance trends
- Lead digital merchandising across navigation, product ranking, search, launches and seasonal changes
- Manage the online product catalogue, including uploads, taxonomy, product data and content quality
- Analyse conversion, AOV, UPT, stock cover and product performance to drive commercial decisions
You Will Need
- 5–7 years’ experience across ecommerce trading, merchandising or buying
- Proven fashion, premium retail or lifestyle experience, with strong commercial understanding
- Experience managing a substantial P&L, ideally £5m+
- Advanced Excel and ecommerce analytics capability, with Shopify Plus experience highly desirable
- Hands-on knowledge of PIM, DAM, catalogue management and inventory planning systems
