Ecommerce Trading Manager
We have an opportunity for an Ecommerce Trading Manager to come and join our Monsoon Ecommerce team. Reporting into the Head of Ecommerce Trade, the key focus for this role will be to execute the overall ecommerce business strategy with responsibility for commercial performance of the ecommerce channel, aligned with brand goals and marketing strategies.
What will you do as Ecommerce Trading Manager for Monsoon?
- Actively trade the online own web channel, ensuring product availability, content and marketing are optimised to maximise online sales
- Work with other Digital teams including Digital Marketing, CRM and the SEO Manager on optimizing the website to support traffic to the site, ensuring fully optimized customer journeys for all channels.
- Develop and manage relationships with the Buying & Merchandising teams, working closely to ensure the optimal product range on web, that it is merchandised effectively and able to propose and agree robust and reactive trading plans
- Liaise with the design and creative team to ensure web content is planned based on trading data as well as strong creative treatment & timely delivery of site assets
- Liaise with the Front-end Development Team to ensure website is updated according to the plans
- Liaise with the IT & DC teams on key activities, peak periods, outbound and returns processing, cancellations and delivery proposition
- Drive on site optimization, looking out for opportunities to test and improve key KPIs / key customer journeys, defining action from web insight tools
- Improve the onsite functionality improvements by working collaboratively with the IT team day to day, as well as helping to shape the Monsoon digital roadmap
- Run reporting and provide analysis and action recommendations for Monday trade and as needed throughout week to support decision making
- Look for improvements for the processes and reporting to speed up access to insights and more efficient use of team resource
- Able to understand capabilities of the Salesforce platform and supporting systems to ensure they are used to their full potential, identifying areas for improvement and pushing changes through
- Support and optimise web presence for separate Women’s and Children’s “brands” on site, multi-tasking to ensure each brand is represented optimally with clear customer journeys defined.
- Work with web suppliers and tools to optimise web performance
- Team management and responsibility of one direct report

What will you need to succeed as Ecommerce Trading Manager for Monsoon?
- Strong experience in ecommerce retail trading
- Commercial judgement and a solid understanding of key ecommerce KPIs and drivers
- Web Platform Experience - Salesforce experience advantageous with a track record of successful platform management, process implementation and project delivery
- An analytical and data driven mindset with strong excel skills. Comfortable creating reports or ad hoc analysis
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to make data driven decisions and influence others
- A problem navigator, solutions driven and determined to ‘get things done
- Able to work at pace within a reactive trading environment
- Fashion background preferred but not essential
