Job Title: Ecommerce Trading Manager

Location: Islington, Greater London

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £50k - £55k range (dependent on experience)

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Ecommerce Trading Manager to spearhead online sales and profit targets across multiple digital channels. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day online trading performance and ensuring a seamless customer experience aligned with brand messaging and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading, Sales & Forecasting:

  • Drive the annual online sales plan, analysing performance and recommending actions to meet targets.
  • Forecast sales and order volumes, collaborating with Distribution Centre teams for capacity planning.
  • Execute the online trading strategy while identifying opportunities to enhance margin and conversion.
  • Manage key promotional events and peak trading periods to maximise impact.

Performance Reporting & Insight:

  • Prepare comprehensive ecommerce trading reports, analysing daily sales and performance metrics.
  • Monitor sales performance and propose actionable optimisations to boost underperforming products and increase revenue.

People Management & Leadership:

  • Support and develop team members, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s and contribute to performance reviews.

Site Content, UX & Visual Merchandising:

  • Oversee the onsite content and trading calendar, ensuring alignment with marketing initiatives.
  • Manage visual merchandising tools for optimal onsite performance and customer experience.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in online trading within a fast-paced digital retail environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent visual merchandising capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic HTML; familiarity with Google Analytics is essential.
  • Experience with tools like ContentSquare, SAP Hybris, or Shopify is desirable.
