Ecommerce Trading Manager/ Optimisation Manager
We are looking for a Ecommerce Trading Manager/ Optimisation Manager to join us on a permanent or potentially contract basis.
Reporting directly to the Optimisation Lead, you will drive the daily commercial performance and onsite execution of our online channels using our Rapid Iteration & Execution framework. Sitting at the intersection of commercial trading, analytics, customer experience, and execution, you will translate real-time trading metrics into live, revenue-generating site updates.
Collaborating closely with Paid Media, CX/Design, Development, and Merchandising teams, you will combine commercial acumen with hands-on site management tools to maximize sales, conversion performance, customer engagement, and channel profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Onsite Trading, Merchandising & Campaign Execution
- Daily Trade Execution: Own daily commercial performance across key e-commerce metrics, including Revenue, Web Traffic, Conversion Rate, Average Order Value (AOV), and Product Availability.
- Roadmap & Content Execution: Build, launch, and QA weekly site updates, visual merchandising, site banners, landing pages, and promotional campaigns across digital channels.
- Customer Journey & Promo Management: Maintain friction-free customer journeys across key landing pages, category pages, and checkout flows, executing promotional plans at pace to drive profitable sales growth.
- Audience Targeting & Segmentation: Leverage Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and web analytics to segment dynamic audiences and deploy targeted commercial messaging.

Commercial Insights, Analytics & Platform Operations
- Real-Time Performance Monitoring: Track live web traffic, customer behavior, and sales data to spot performance drops, inventory issues, or immediate high-potential commercial opportunities.
- Actionable Reporting: Synthesize web analytics into clear trade recommendations for weekly performance reviews, demonstrating commercial ROI and revenue uplift.
- Platform & Data Quality: Act as super-user for our CMS, e-commerce, and analytics stack (e.g., GA4, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, Shopify), ensuring accurate tagging, event tracking, and content integrity.
- AI & Automation: Leverage AI and self-service analytics tools to accelerate commercial decision-making and streamline daily reporting.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Delivery
- Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the operational hub, collaborating daily with Copywriters, Designers, Developers, Paid Media, CRM, and Merchandising to coordinate rapid asset production and deployment.
- Action Ownership: Track trading actions from insight through to live deployment with clear owners, timelines, and commercial accountability.
What We Want From You
- Commercial & E-Commerce Background: Proven experience in e-commerce trading, digital merchandising, or commercial analytics, with a strong understanding of online retail drivers (revenue, traffic, conversion, margin).
- Technical Platform Toolset: Hands-on experience with enterprise CMS and e-commerce platforms (ideally Adobe) and web analytics suites (GA4, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude). CDP familiarity and basic HTML/CSS/JS knowledge are pluses.
- High-Velocity Mindset: Agile, highly organized, and thriving in fast-paced retail environments with a focus on rapid execution and immediate commercial impact.
- Analytical & Collaborative: Skilled at turning complex data into clear business decisions while effectively coordinating cross-functional technical, creative, and commercial teams.
